Hello friends,
I don’t know about yourself but I do enjoy going to the “National Trusts” places in United Kingdom.
I do like to go when I can to see these historical treasures that we have. The National trust has made a series on the BBC recently called the “Hidden treasures of the National Trust” where they take you behind the scenes to restore and to tell the history of the places the people work in.
There are many others I have put on my bucket list too see.
One of the them which was filmed in one of the episodes was a house at number “59, Rodney Street”.
The owner of the place was called Edward Chambre Hardman.
He was a portrait and a landscape photographer.
Being a trained photographer I didn’t know much about him so I order the book about him to get to know him.
His father was an amateur photographer and loved it so much that Edward wanted to take pictures as well.
He wanted to take it seriously.
He went to serve in the Indian army in 1918. Through the army he met “Captain Kenneth Burrell”. They became good friends and set up a business in Liverpool after the war.
Later he married Margaret, moved to Rodney Street.
